Sofie Laguna wins 2015 Miles Franklin Literary Award

The 2015 Miles Franklin Literary Award goes to Sofie Laguna for The Eye of the Sheep

Meet Jimmy Flick. He's not like other kids - he's both too fast and too slow. He sees too much, and too little. Jimmy's mother Paula is the only one who can manage him. She teaches him how to count sheep so that he can fall asleep. She holds him tight enough to stop his cells spinning. It is only Paula who can keep Jimmy out of his father's way. But when Jimmy's world falls apart, he has to navigate the unfathomable world on his own, and make things right.

Come in to the library to borrow this book now.

Belated Welcome Back

Welcome back everyone.

We've been very busy in the first weeks back for 2015 and only now can we take a moment to stop, reflect, breathe and look at the library blog.

This year is shaping up to be as busy as ever and we look forward getting lots of new books in for you to borrow and read. We also look forward to meeting the new year 7 borrowers over the coming weeks.

Keep your eyes open for some fun activities taking place in the library very soon.
